The Coming of
Our  Master
יהושע Messiah

and ... Our Gathering Together Unto Him

The Western (Wailing) Wall Jerusalem

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Master Yehoshua Messiah, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Messiah is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Thessalonians 2:1-3

Let us look at the Greek word highlights relating to our topic:

Parousia

Strong's 3952  is translated as coming or presence [of Messiah] It means being near, or returning. The Latin translates this word as adventum.

2 Thessalonians 2:8   And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Apokalupsis

Strong's 602 defined as Messiah's
disclosure. In the KJV, it is translated as appearing, coming, manifestation, being revealed, and revelation.

2 Thessalonians 1:7   And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Master Yehoshua shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Epiphaneia

Strong's 2015 is defined as a manifestation. It is translated as appearing or brightness in the KJV.

2 Thessalonians 2:8   And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom Yehovah shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Erchomai

Strong's
2064  In most relevant cases we find it simply translated as coming.

Matthew 24:30   And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Eklegomai and Eklectos

Eklegomai is Strong's
1586
and means chosen or selected. It is translated as making a choice, choose, and chosen. Eklectos is 1588 in Strong's concordance and is translated in the KJV as elect or chosen. It is derived from 1586.

Mark 13:20   And except that Yehovah had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Ekklesia
Strong's number 1577 refers to the called out ones. It is translated as church or assembly by the KJV.

G1577

ἐκκλησία

ekklēsia

ek-klay-see'-ah

From a compound of G1537 and a derivative of G2564; a calling out, that is, (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both): - assembly, church

Acts 16:5   And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

Thlipsis

Strong's 2347. It means pressure. It is translated as afflicted, affliction, burdened, persecution, tribulation, and trouble.

Matthew 24:29   Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Orge

Strong's 3709 and is defined as violent passion. It is translated as anger, indignation, vengeance, and wrath.

Revelation 11:18   And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Episunago and Episunagoge

These are Strong's 1997 and 1998. They mean to collect upon the same place and a complete collection respectively. They are found very few times in Scripture. Here are a few places of great significance concerning the second coming of Messiah.

Matthew 24:31   And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mark 13:27   And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

2 Thessalonians 2:1   Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Master Yehoshua Messiah, and by our
gathering together unto him,

So Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28

The scripture context:
Matthew 24

[3] And as he [Yehoshua] sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming
[NOTICE THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE SECOND COMING and IN THE FOLLOWING VERSES MESSIAH DOES NOT SAY OTHERWISE]

and of the end of the world?
[4] And Yehoshua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Messiah; and shall deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars [second seal]: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [great tribulation]
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
[19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
[20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:[ no secret rapture here]
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Messiah, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:3-31

Revelation 7

[1] And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
[2] And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
[3] Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim in their foreheads. [ Notice the 144,000 are protected through the tribulation
{sealed not raptured} - Revelation 9 [3] And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.[4] And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, ... but only those men which have not the seal of Elohim in their foreheads.{ would appear to include the great multitude}]
[4] And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
[5] Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
[6] Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
[7] Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
[8] Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

[note: the tribes of Dan and Ephraim are missing form this group.]

[9] After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude [ Revelation 6 [9] And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of Elohim, and for the testimony which they held:[10] And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?[11] And white robes were given unto every one of them [Revelation 3[5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.]; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.] , which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes [Revelation 3 [5] He that overcometh,

{G3528

νικάω

nikaō

nik-ah'-o

From G3529; to subdue (literally or figuratively): - conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory.}

 the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.], and palms in their hands;
[10] And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our Elohim which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
[11] And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped Elohim,
[12] Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our Elohim for ever and ever. Amen.
[13] And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
[14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These [a great multitude; believers not part of the sealed 144,000] are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
[Revelation 3 [5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.]
[15] Therefore are they before the throne of Elohim, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
[16] They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
[17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and Elohim shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 7:1-17
